Autocross your streetcar - as-is - in a safe, controlled environment for as low as $20! Courses are constructed on open lots, defined by traffic cones. Instead of wheel-to-wheel, you will be competing against other drivers based on lap times. If you are picturing a cheesy course with someone timing you with a stopwatch, think again...!

If you’ve ever dreamed of driving your streetcar on a racetrack, High Performance Driving Events (HPDEs) offer this opportunity. You’ll receive classroom instruction and have an experienced instructor ride in your car providing guidance. Passing is limited to the straightaways. This is not a race, but is still geared toward more advanced drivers - while focusing on having fun while learning.

You will be racing wheel-to-wheel with other prepared racecars. There are many classes and cars to choose from - depending upon your budget and what appeals to you the most. Each racecar needs to meet various safety/rules requirements. A safe, already built (but not necessarily competitive) racecar can be purchased for as little as $3,000. And, as you’d imagine, costs can go up from there. 

Regardless of which form of racing you intend on participating in - Autocross, High Performance Driving Events or Time Trials - this section will help you properly prepare your car. Before you make any modifications, be sure your car is within the rules of the class(es) you will be racing in.  Also, be sure the car/class you choose will be able to grow with you as you progress toward the goals you’re establishing for the future.

Here you will see illustrations done in pen and paper just as we’d do at the track when conducting in-person coaching.
